About priv QR

Our Mission

priv QR is a free, no-login QR product focused on codes that need to work after they leave the screen: QR Code to STL, 3D printed QR codes, Matter setup data, and practical generation tools.

The product is built around browser-side QR payload generation, clear export formats, and guidance that helps users verify QR codes before printing, mounting, onboarding, or sharing them.

🔒 Browser-side payloads

QR payloads are assembled in your browser instead of being sent to a QR-generation endpoint. The site still loads application assets and may use the services described in our privacy policy.

⚡ Immediate preview

See the QR preview as you enter content, then export the available PNG, SVG, or STL files. Generation time depends on the tool, device, payload, and chosen output.

📱 No account required

Use the core generators without creating an account. Save the exported files locally and test the exact output in the environment where it will be used.

🏗️ Physical-output tools

Work with STL output, SVG and PNG references, CSV batch processing, field checks, and practical scanability guidance. These checks support testing but do not replace certification or production QA.

What Makes Us Different

Specialized for Modern Use Cases

While many QR generators stop at basic text and URLs, priv QR focuses on jobs where the QR code has to survive a real deployment:

  • QR to STL and 3D Printing - Printable QR code assets with geometry, size, raised-height, and scanability guidance
  • Matter Device Setup - Onboarding payloads assembled from commissioning fields, with local range and test-VID checks
  • Cryptocurrency Payments - Payment QR payloads for Bitcoin and Ethereum URIs, plus existing Lightning invoices
  • Bulk Processing - CSV-based batch generation for repeated QR export jobs

Built by Developers, for Everyone

Each tool is designed to make its output inspectable and testable before it is shared or manufactured:

  • Visible QR payloads and downloadable reference files
  • Input checks with clear limits and warnings
  • Task-specific guidance for printing and device setup
  • Simple workflows that do not require an account

Our Technology

Implementation

priv QR uses a browser-based interface and typed QR generators for its focused workflows:

Frontend

  • Next.js 15 with App Router
  • TypeScript for type safety
  • Tailwind CSS for styling
  • Web Workers for performance

QR Generation

  • Multiple format support (PNG, SVG)
  • Scan reliability optimization
  • Custom sizing and styling
  • Logo embedding capabilities

Privacy boundaries

  • QR payload assembly runs in the browser
  • No QR redirect service is inserted into static codes
  • Application delivery and optional site services are separate from QR payload generation
  • The privacy policy describes the site services and data practices

Community & Support

Transparent, browser-side tools

priv QR is designed around local browser processing and practical documentation. You can:

  • Generate QR codes without creating an account
  • Review the production and validation guidance
  • Contact support with bugs or suggestions

Support Channels

  • Documentation - Comprehensive guides for all features
  • Email support - Bug reports and product feedback

How to verify an export

A successful download is only the start of a reliable QR deployment. Before sharing or manufacturing an export:

  • Decode the finished QR with more than one target device or app
  • Confirm the decoded URL, address, amount, or setup fields exactly
  • For physical output, test the final material, size, contrast, lighting, and viewing distance
  • For Matter or payment payloads, complete a real setup or wallet-preview test before distribution
